The Best of Peter and Gordon (Rhino R2 70748; 1991)
A World Without Love/If I Were You/Nobody I Know/I Don't Want To See You Again/Love Me Baby/I Go To Pieces/True Love Ways/To Know You Is To Love You/Baby I'm Yours/Don't Pity Me/Woman/There's No Living Without Your Loving/Lady Godiva/Knight In Rusty Armour/The Flower Lady/Hurtin' Is Lovin'/Sunday For Tea/The Jokers/I Feel Like Going Out/You've Had Better Times
The best compilation out there, covering the entire span of their career. All freshly remastered from clean original stereo and mono mixes. These mixes generally originate from the UK, as most US mixes have a good deal of echo added to them (called "wettening" the mix). These "dry" mixes have excellent clarity. All tracks in stereo except "Woman". This stereo mix of "Nobody I Know" was never released before, but as it is an unbalanced mix (its vocals are on the left, most all instruments on the right) it is likely an unused 1960s mix, as a remix surely would have been balanced. Also, the last seven tracks have their stereo picture reversed. A must have.
Peter and Gordon: Greatest Hits (Cema Special Products CDL 57399; 1992)
A World Without Love/Nobody I Know/I Don't Want To See You Again/I Go To Pieces/True Love Ways/To Know You Is To Love You/Woman/Lady Godiva/Knight In Rusty Armour/Sunday For Tea
This budget release suffers from a lack of material and the poor quality masters used to produce it. It is the worse sounding CD out there, not even worth getting if (somewhat masochistically) you decide you want the "duophonic" "Nobody I Know" and "Woman", even more distorted than usual. If you must have the fake stereo mixes of these songs, get the Collectables discs.
A World Without Love/I Don't Want To See You Again (Collectables COL 2717; 1998)
Lucille/Five Hundred Miles/If I Were You/Pretty Mary/Trouble In Mind/A World Without Love/Tell Me How/You Don't Have To Tell Me/Leave Me Alone/All My Trials/Last Night I Woke/I Don't Want To See You Again/Nobody I Know/My Babe/Willow Garden/Two Little Love Birds/Land Of Oden/Freight Train/Love Me Baby/Soft As The Dawn/Leave Me Alone/Lonely Avenue/To Show I Love You
This rerelease of two original US albums on one CD is very good. Its primary problem is its use of the old Capitol stereo LPs as a source. This creates two difficulties: firstly, one is stuck with the old "duophonic" mixes of many tracks, and secondly, there is the occasional pop from the record itself. This is true for all three of the Collectables CDs. Added as a bonus track is the song "To Show I Love You", in its muddy stereo mix from the "Knight In Rusty Armour" LP.
I Go To Pieces/True Love Ways (Collectables COL 2715; 1998)
I Go To Pieces/Sleepless Nights/Tears Don't Stop/If You Wish/All Shook Up/What You Gonna Do 'Bout It/Good Morning Blues/Someone Ain't Right/A Mess Of The Blues/I Still Love You/I Don't Care What They Say/Don't Pity Me/Cry To Me/To Know You Is To Love You/I Told You So/Who's Lovin' You/Any Day Now (My Wild Beautiful Bird)/Crying In The Rain/Hurtin' Is Lovin'/Broken Promises/When The Black Of Your Eyes Turn To Grey/True Love Ways/Sunday For Tea
Another two-on-one reissue. This time the bonus track is "Sunday For Tea". Notably, Collectables misidentifies "Don't Pity Me" as a track from the "I Go To Pieces" LP. The bonus track is in its stereo LP mix.
Woman/Lady Godiva (Collectables COL 2716; 1998)
Woman/Wrong From The Start/As Long As I Have You/Let It Be Me/Green Leaves Of Summer/High Noon/I Know A Man/Brown, Black & Gold/3:10 To Yuma/Somewhere/There's No Living Without Your Loving/Lady Godiva/The Exodus Song/Young And Beautiful/When I Fall In Love/A Taste Of Honey/Baby I'm Yours/Love Is A Many Splendored Thing/Morning's Calling/If I Fell/Till There Was You/The Jokers/Knight In Rusty Armour
The final Collectables reissue, includes "The Jokers" and "Knight In Rusty Armour" as bonus tracks. For no apparent reason, Collectables chose to skip over the rare "Peter & Gordon Sing And Play The Hits Of Nashville, Tennessee" LP, and release this disc. Unfortunately, the bonus tracks on all of these reissues not only leave a lot to be desired (most notably "The Town I Live In", "I Can Remember(Not Too Long Ago), and "Hard Time, Rainy Day"), but they also give notice to the fact the Collectables has no plans to issue the other four original LPs, as all of their 'bonus' tracks originate from the "Knight In Rusty Armour" and "In London For Tea" LPs, and are in their common stereo mixes. Perhaps Collectables will change their minds and deliver those 4 albums and 3 rarities, but it is highly unlikely.
The British Invasion:The History Of British Rock, Vol. 8 (Rhino Records R2 70326; 1991)
Various artists CD includes: "Knight In Rusty Armour" in its (notably different) mono single mix, available on CD only on this disc.

A World Without Love/Freight Train/Leave My Woman Alone/Nobody I Know/Tell Me How/A Long Time Gone/I Don't Want To See You Again/I Go To Pieces/True Love Ways/Crying In The Rain/To Know You Is To Love You/Baby I'm Yours/Homeward Bound/Green Leaves Of Summer/Woman/When I Fall In Love/Lady Godiva/Somewhere/Knight In Rusty Armour/Sunday For Tea/Memphis/Send Me The Pillow (That You Dream On)
A CD that I unfortunately do not have, and it seems to be out of print. Notably features two tracks from the "...Sing The Hits Of Nashville, Tennessee" LP, as well as "Long Time Gone" (in stereo?).
Peter And Gordon (EMI TOCP-7548; 1993, Japan)
A World Without Love/Lucille/Long Time Gone/If I Were You/Pretty Mary/Trouble In Mind/Five Hundred Miles/Tell Me How/You Don't Have To Tell Me/Leave Me Alone/All My Trials/Last Night I Woke/Nobody I Know/I Don't Want To See You Again/I Go To Pieces/True Love Ways/To Know You Is To Love You/Baby I'm Yours/Woman/Lady Godiva
Another one I don't have, but notable as it is apparently the only CD issue of many of these tracks in their "dry" stereo mixes.
Somewhere/...Sing The Hits Of Nashville, Tennessee (EMI TOCP 8003; 1993, Japan)
High Noon/The Green Leaves Of Summer/If I Fell/Exodus Song/As Long As I Have You/Love Is A Many Splendored Thing/3:10 To Yuma/A Taste Of Honey/Till There Was You/When I Fall In Love/Young And Beautiful/Somewhere/I've Got A Tiger By The Tail/Sweet Dreams/Before You Go/Please Help Me I'm Falling/I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry/The Race Is On/My Heart Skips A Beat/Lonely Street/Send Me The Pillow That You Dream On/I Forgot More Than You'll Ever Know/Memphis
Several of these tracks are only available on CD on this disc. I can't comment otherwise, as I don't own this now out of print CD. If you'd like to sell/trade me a copy of it, let me know! I'll make you an offer you can't refuse. :)
The EP Collection (See For Miles SEECD 426; 1995, UK)
Leave My Woman Alone/Hurtin' Is Loving/Long Time Gone/Lady Godiva/I Go To Pieces/Woman/The Flower Lady/The Knight In Rusty Armour/Sunday For Tea/Start Trying Someone Else/Love Me Baby/Lucille/If I Were You/Pretty Mary/World Without Love/Tell Me How/You Don't Have To Tell Me/Tears Don't Stop/Nobody I Know/Soft As The Dawn/Leave Me Alone/Lonely Avenue/Roving Rambler/I Don't Want To See You Again/Devant Toi Je Suis Sans Voix/L'Inconnue/Le Temps Va Le Temps Court/Ne Me Plains Pas/True Love Ways
Includes tracks from most every EP ever issued by Peter & Gordon, including several rarities. Notably absent is "The Town I Live In" from an Australian Columbia EP rleased in 1967. Oddly, "Woman" is in "duophonic". In mono are:"Leave My Woman Alone", "Long Time Gone", "I Go To Pieces", "Flower Lady", "A World Without Love", "Tell Me How", "Roving Rambler", and "I Don't Want To See You Again", as well as all of the French tracks. Neither the French language tracks nor "Roving Rambler" have ever been released in stereo, while "Long Time Gone" was only in stereo on the UK "Peter and Gordon" LP in 1964 and, reportedly, on the Japanese CD reissue of the album (with several bonus tracks), released in 1993. It could also be on the UK CD "The Best Of The EMI Years", but I am unable to confirm that.

This CD, packaged in a beautiful digipack, includes the full mono and stereo mixes of the album. On this CD are several tracks never released in the US. These mixes have a bit more clarity than the American mixes, as Capitol US frequently added echo to their pre-1967 releases.
