This group, a British pop duo from the 1960s, is little
remembered today, and I for one happen to think that's a bad thing!
My intention with this page is to contribute my two cents on their
music in general and their specific releases in, well, not so
general...
...were the first British artists to hit number one in America after the Beatles finally relinquished (if temporarily) their stranglehold on the top five. This record was "A World Without Love". Five years later, after most other first wave British invasion groups were long since gone, Peter & Gordon finally broke up. During the time that they were together, they produced some of the most pleasant and just downright good songs of the 1960s. Sadly, their most significant artistic achievement was their final LP, "Hot Cold And Custard", which, as the public ignored it in droves, is one of the hardest to find records by a significant British invasion artist.
On these pages you will find a comprehensive review of their LPs and CDs. I will, in addition to an in depth discography, and rarities evaluations, provide my usual charming commentary, and at no cost to you, even.
If you don't like Peter and Gordon, I suggest you go somewhere else before I start whining...
